Justine joined our team six months ago. She integrated into the HEMAR team very easily and faces challenges head-on. Read on to find out what Justine has to say about her road to Hict and her first months in the team.
About a year ago, I was deep into the challenges of my thesis as part of my second master’s in biomedical engineering. Fully aware of the wide range of possibilities my studies could offer, I went on a search to find a job that truly matched my interests. Although I had an excellent internship experience at Hict during my first master’s, I wanted to broaden my horizons rather than taking the easy route by returning to the only company I had previously worked with.
I explored various companies and had numerous conversations, yet I still felt that I hadn't found the right match. Ultimately, I decided to reach out to Hict and inquire about potential opportunities for a recent graduate.
Six months into working at Hict, I can confidently say that I don’t agree with those who claim that ‘student life is your peak period in life.’
At Hict, I am part of an enthusiastic team that actively supports my growth, allowing me to learn and explore various aspects of the job. On one hand, I’ve gained a significant amount of knowledge about HEMAR topics. The world of health economics and market access is gradually becoming less of a mystery to me. On the other hand, my soft skills are continuously improving as I learn how to communicate effectively, present my ideas clearly, and adopt a proactive attitude in various situations.
I genuinely feel valued as a team member, and I appreciate how Hict invests in enhancing my knowledge and skills. Working on diverse topics simultaneously broadens my perspective and helps me identify connections across different subjects.
My position within the HEMAR team perfectly fulfills both the mathematical and medical aspects I was looking for in my job. By researching disease characteristics and engaging with clinical experts, I gain deeper insights into various pathologies. By understanding, adapting, and building health economic models, I am able to quantify that medical knowledge and transform it into valuable insights.
Looking back, I am glad I made the decision to contact Hict. This journey has not only deepened my expertise but also empowered me to grow as a professional. The past six months have flown by, and hopefully many more months are to come.
